I got caught too, I'm 17, and I had like 2 speeding,
driving without headlights, 2 warning tickets, went
to driving school twice, and speed contest. Speed contest
(racing ticket) is a $2025 fine for 18 and over. Under
18 there is a maximum fine in court of $675 no matter
what. They can take your lisence for up to 6 months
unless it involves drugs, alcohol, or graffiti-vandalism,
in which they can take it for longer. I got my lisence
taken away from the court for 30 days with a reduced
$350 fine, but today I recieved a depressing letter from
the DMV saying I lose it for 6mo morE AFTER the date the
court gives it back, so sometime around OCT 16th or 28?
Courts are very easy on kids. THE DMV IS NOT.
THE DMV IS HEARTLESS. I thought I got off with a simple
30 day suspension soo lucky soo happy then i get my mail
and am like WTF!!!! NOOOOO!!!! they'll make u happy and
trick ya the sneaky bastards becarefull!

you will either be allowed to go back to driving
school again, ( u can take it once every year )
( i went twice in 1 year so i think for minors its
on the judge )
or they will take it for 30 days. even 6mo is unlikely
(the DMV will probubly take it for 6mo). Don't worry
too much just be prepared to lose it for a short while.
Nothing like till ur 21. They can't even do that if they
wanted to I already asked. Only if u get DUI or something.

hope it helps... late

Officers don't have any way of answering what kind of penalties the court will impose. It's like asking me how much your speeding ticket will cost you when I have pulled you over. I just don't know.

A friend got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop before turning right on a red light at an intersection. It was a $281 ticket. That's about the only one I know of.

Drive safe,
