I got a ticket

I got a ticket and it was for the tinting on my front windows ( I know i was going to get that but when i was stopped I have the new blue colored altenzza tail lights but ther are not really colored they just came with a blue strip around the edges and the cop wrote me up for having blue covers on my lights but they came like that and they have a DOT stamp on them. I have to go to court on the 13 of march and i don't know what to do????? Help me !!!!

no -no fix it ticket- the box is not checked!!

the tail lights must be red.
even the clear headlights are dot approved but they must have yellow corner reflector to be approved by the state of california.
as for tailights, they must be shades of red and however the rear turn signals can be red instead of yellow.
the reverse lights can only be white.
also the rear lights can never be all clear, red must be used because it alerts drivers in the daytime that they are looking at the rear of your car and not the front.

true, i believe they have to have a red reflector inside, though you might still have a case due to the fact that the DOT is a federal organization and thus meaning if they approve it who is to contest it, like some dickhead cop?
