Radar Detector's

[Grrr]

Obviously, when driving fast, you don't want to get caught. First solution that comes to mind-> Get a radar detector... but, will I get into trouble if i got pulled over and they saw it?

I mean it's pretty lame if i do get pulled over when having one of these, but i'm just wondering if i'm gonna get like a gun to the head or just a slap on the wrist...

If you live in cali they are legal to have. I have been pulled over before and had it sitten there. But be warned cop sees it makes him think you are looking for a way to get out of a ticket. Also radar detectors are not always accurate, and sometimes won't give enough of a warning.

Actually the K-40 if you have the money. They say they will pay your first ticket.

Valentine 1 is definitely the way to go IF you have 400 dollars to spend. I personally like Uniden, I don't remember the series number i have I think its like 6100 or something like that i dunno, but it's got bands, K, KA, X, Laser, SWS (saftey warning system). it tells me when/where there is an accident or road construction or wahtever with the SWS as well as a "definite" cop in the area. the K band and Ka bands are good up to 8000 feet for first warning. it's got over 600 different led messages that are displayed with the SWS and also 360 degree protection. with lifetime warranty. great it's worked great for me for the time ive had it. look on ebay for some good ones. also you'll have to check your state law for legality of these, in some cases you can conseal them under the dash or wahtever. :)

I use a Cobra. It's saved my a$$ more than once. The voice alert is cool, but really not needed. A lot less money than Escort and Valentine 1, though you probably get what you pay for.
